Experience a piece of Korean childhood culture through a nostalgic 90s-style birthday party with Choco Pie, games, and memories.
For many Koreans who grew up in the 1990s, birthdays at school were simple but unforgettable moments filled with friends, handwritten cards, small treats, and of course, Choco Pie.
At this IDOH cultural experience, students stepped into a piece of Korean childhood by celebrating a 90s-style birthday party together. They learned about the memories behind one of Korea’s most beloved snacks, shared stories, and experienced the small traditions that shaped everyday life for a generation.
Beyond tasting Korean snacks, students discovered how food carries memories, emotions, and connections between people.
This experience reflects what IDOH Korean Language & Culture believes: learning Korean is not only about studying words and grammar. It is about understanding the stories, moments, and everyday experiences that bring a culture to life.
Through events like this, IDOH continues to create spaces where people across Greater Boston and New England can connect with Korea in meaningful and memorable ways.
