Terms & Conditions for IDOH Korean Language & Culture
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
These Terms and Conditions constitute an agreement between you and IDOH Korean Language & Culture ("IDOH," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of idohkr.com and participation in our educational programs and services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing the Site, registering for a program, or completing payment, you agree to these Terms and any additional policies presented during registration.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use or purchase the Services.
2. PAYMENTS AND BILLING
Payment processing may be provided through third-party payment processors. By submitting payment information, you also agree to the applicable payment processor's terms and privacy practices.
For recurring memberships, including the Korean Speaking Club:
Membership is billed at the rate displayed at the time of registration.
The Korean Speaking Club currently operates in 4-week billing cycles.
Memberships automatically renew unless canceled before the applicable renewal date.
The next 4-week cycle is charged 14 days before that cycle begins.
To avoid being charged for the next cycle, you must cancel before the renewal charge is processed.
Once a renewal payment has been processed, the upcoming cycle is confirmed and non-refundable, including in cases of travel, illness, schedule changes, or other personal circumstances.
Any applicable taxes or payment-processing requirements will be handled at checkout.
3. REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Unless otherwise expressly stated:
All completed payments are final and non-refundable.
Cancellation of a recurring membership stops future renewals but does not refund an already-paid cycle.
Students may request a membership pause before the next renewal date, subject to the rules communicated for that membership.
Refund, cancellation, attendance, rescheduling, and pause rules may differ for future courses, workshops, or services.
The policies presented on the applicable registration or service page form part of these Terms.
4. KOREAN SPEAKING CLUB POLICIES
The following policies currently apply to Korean Speaking Club memberships:
Registration is for a complete 4-week cycle.
Students may register until the first class of a cycle begins.
Mid-cycle enrollment is not permitted.
Missed classes are not eligible for makeup classes, credits, refunds, or attendance in another level.
IDOH normally makes a class recording available after class when possible.
Recordings are generally available for 7 days.
Recordings are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed. Technical problems or other circumstances may prevent a class from being successfully recorded or distributed.
Failure to receive a recording does not qualify the student for a refund, credit, or makeup session.
Students are responsible for selecting the appropriate class level based on the eligibility requirements displayed during registration.
5. PROGRAM CHANGES AND SCHEDULING
IDOH may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, locations, lesson formats, or program content when necessary.
If circumstances outside IDOH's reasonable control prevent an in-person class from operating as planned, IDOH may:
relocate the class,
move the class online,
reschedule the class, or
provide another reasonable alternative.
We will communicate material changes to enrolled students when reasonably possible.
6. FORCE MAJEURE
IDOH will not be responsible for delays, interruptions, or inability to provide Services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, emergencies, building closures, public health events, transportation disruptions, government actions, power or internet outages, or other similar events.
When reasonably possible, IDOH may provide an alternative format, location, or schedule.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING
Photos and videos may be taken during IDOH classes and events for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes.
For publicly shared marketing or social media content:
student faces will be blurred, mosaicked, or otherwise obscured, unless separate permission has been obtained.
Students who have concerns about photography or recording should contact IDOH before participating.
8. CLASS RECORDINGS
Class recordings, when provided, are intended solely for the personal educational use of enrolled students.
Students may not:
download, reproduce, redistribute, upload, publish, sell, or publicly share class recordings;
share access links with non-enrolled individuals; or
use recordings for commercial purposes.
Recordings may contain the instructor, class materials, student voices, or other participant contributions.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All original IDOH curriculum, worksheets, lesson materials, recordings, graphics, written content, and instructional resources are owned by or licensed to IDOH Korean Language & Culture unless otherwise indicated.
Purchasing or participating in a Service grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the provided materials for your own learning.
You may not reproduce, sell, distribute, publish, or commercially exploit IDOH materials without prior written permission.
10. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
Students are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, and other participants.
IDOH reserves the right to remove a participant from a class or program for harassment, threatening behavior, repeated disruption, discrimination, inappropriate conduct, or conduct that materially interferes with the learning environment.
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in termination of participation without refund.
11. ASSUMPTION OF RISK FOR IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES
For any in-person classes, workshops, cultural activities, or events involving food, cooking, tools, physical activities, or other hands-on participation:
Participants are responsible for informing IDOH of relevant food allergies or safety concerns.
Participants are expected to follow instructor and venue safety instructions.
Participation in such activities involves ordinary risks inherent to those activities.
I would not keep the old sentence:
“IDOH is not liable for any allergic reactions or injuries.”
That is unnecessarily absolute and may be harder to enforce. The narrower language above is safer and more professional.
12. THIRD-PARTY VENUES AND SERVICES
Some IDOH programs may take place at third-party venues or use third-party technology platforms.
IDOH does not control the independent policies, availability, or operation of third-party venues or service providers.
Students must also comply with any reasonable rules imposed by the applicable venue or platform.
13. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IDOH provides educational services and does not guarantee any specific level of language proficiency, examination result, employment outcome, or other individual result.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IDOH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Services.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, IDOH's total liability arising from a particular purchased Service will not exceed the amount paid by the participant for that Service.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute relating to these Terms will be subject to applicable state and federal law and jurisdiction.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
IDOH may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes to recurring membership terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter already-completed purchases except where required by law.
