1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
These Terms and Conditions constitute an agreement between you and IDOH Korean Language & Culture (“IDOH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning your access to and use of idohkr.com and your participation in our educational programs, memberships, workshops, events, and other services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing the Site, registering for a Service, or completing payment, you agree to these Terms and any additional policies presented on the applicable registration, checkout, or service page.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use or purchase the Services.
2. PAYMENTS AND BILLING
Payment processing may be provided through third-party payment processors. By submitting payment information, you also agree to the applicable payment processor’s terms and privacy practices.
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable registration or service page:
Payment is due at the time of registration or purchase.
Prices are those displayed at the time of purchase.
Applicable taxes or payment-processing requirements will be handled at checkout.
Recurring memberships may be subject to additional billing and renewal terms as described in the applicable membership policies below or on the applicable registration page.
3. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Unless otherwise expressly stated on the applicable registration or service page:
All completed payments are final and non-refundable.
Cancellation, rescheduling, attendance, transfer, and pause policies may vary depending on the Service.
Any policies displayed on the applicable registration, checkout, or service page form part of these Terms.
4. KOREAN SPEAKING CLUB POLICIES
The following policies apply specifically to the Korean Speaking Club.
Membership and Billing
Membership is for a complete 4-week cycle.
Membership automatically renews every 4 weeks unless canceled before the applicable renewal payment is processed.
Payment for the next 4-week cycle is processed 14 days before that cycle begins.
To avoid being charged for the next cycle, membership must be canceled before the renewal payment is processed.
Once a renewal payment has been processed, enrollment for the upcoming cycle is confirmed and the payment is non-refundable, including in cases of travel, illness, schedule changes, or other personal circumstances.
When available, a membership pause must be requested before the applicable renewal payment is processed.
Enrollment and Attendance
Students may register until the first class of a cycle begins.
Mid-cycle enrollment is not permitted.
Missed classes are not eligible for makeup classes, credits, refunds, or attendance in another class level.
Students are responsible for selecting an appropriate class level based on the eligibility requirements and descriptions provided during registration.
Class Recordings
When possible, IDOH may make a class recording available after a Korean Speaking Club session.
Recordings are generally available for 7 days.
Recordings are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed.
Technical issues or other circumstances may prevent a class from being successfully recorded, processed, or distributed.
Failure to receive or access a recording does not qualify a student for a refund, credit, transfer, or makeup session.
5. PROGRAM CHANGES AND SCHEDULING
IDOH may make reasonable changes to schedules, instructors, locations, lesson formats, class sizes, or program content when necessary.
If circumstances prevent an in-person class or event from operating as originally planned, IDOH may:
relocate the class or event;
move the class online;
reschedule the class or event; or
provide another reasonable alternative.
IDOH will communicate material changes to enrolled participants when reasonably possible.
6. FORCE MAJEURE
IDOH will not be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or inability to provide Services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
severe weather;
emergencies;
building or venue closures;
public health events;
transportation disruptions;
government actions;
power or internet outages; or
other similar circumstances beyond IDOH’s reasonable control.
When reasonably possible, IDOH may provide an alternative format, location, date, or schedule.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING
Photos and videos may be taken during IDOH classes, workshops, events, and other activities for educational, promotional, documentation, or marketing purposes.
For publicly shared marketing or social media content, student faces will be blurred, mosaicked, cropped, or otherwise obscured unless separate permission has been obtained to show the participant’s face.
Students who have concerns about photography or video recording should contact IDOH before participating.
8. CLASS RECORDINGS AND PARTICIPANT PRIVACY
Class recordings, when provided, are intended solely for the personal educational use of enrolled students.
Students may not:
download, reproduce, copy, redistribute, upload, publish, sell, or publicly share class recordings;
share recording links, passwords, or access information with non-enrolled individuals;
use recordings or excerpts from recordings for commercial purposes; or
use recordings in a way that violates the privacy of other participants.
Recordings may contain the instructor, class materials, student voices, names, chat messages, or other participant contributions.
By participating in a class for which a recording is made, participants acknowledge that their voice or other contributions may be included in the recording.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise indicated, all original IDOH curriculum, worksheets, lesson materials, recordings, graphics, presentations, written content, exercises, and instructional resources are owned by or licensed to IDOH Korean Language & Culture.
Purchasing or participating in a Service grants the participant a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the provided materials for personal educational purposes only.
Without prior written permission from IDOH, participants may not:
reproduce or distribute IDOH materials;
sell or resell IDOH materials;
publish IDOH materials online or offline;
share paid materials with non-enrolled individuals; or
commercially exploit IDOH curriculum, recordings, worksheets, or instructional resources.
10. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
Students and participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, venue personnel, and other participants.
IDOH reserves the right to remove or dismiss a participant from a class, workshop, event, or other Service for:
harassment;
threatening or abusive behavior;
discrimination;
repeated disruption;
inappropriate or unsafe conduct; or
behavior that materially interferes with the learning environment or the participation of others.
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in termination of participation without refund.
11. IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES, FOOD, AND SAFETY
Certain IDOH classes, workshops, cultural programs, or events may involve food, cooking equipment, utensils, physical activities, craft materials, or other hands-on participation.
Participants are responsible for:
informing IDOH of relevant food allergies, dietary restrictions, or safety concerns when appropriate;
determining whether they are able to safely participate in the activity;
following reasonable safety instructions provided by the instructor, venue, or event staff; and
supervising any minor participant for whom they are responsible, unless otherwise expressly stated.
Participation in hands-on activities involves ordinary risks inherent to those activities.
Participants should not consume food or participate in an activity if they believe doing so may be unsafe for them.
12. THIRD-PARTY VENUES AND SERVICES
Some IDOH Services may take place at third-party venues or use third-party technology, communication, registration, payment, or video-conferencing platforms.
IDOH does not control the independent policies, availability, security practices, accessibility, or operation of third-party venues or service providers.
Participants are responsible for complying with reasonable rules imposed by the applicable venue or third-party platform.
13. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IDOH provides educational and cultural Services and does not guarantee any specific result, including:
a particular level of Korean-language proficiency;
examination or test results;
academic results;
employment outcomes; or
any other individual educational or professional outcome.
Individual progress depends on many factors, including attendance, practice, prior experience, study habits, and individual ability.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IDOH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising out of or relating to participation in the Services.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, IDOH’s total liability arising from a particular purchased Service will not exceed the amount paid by the participant to IDOH for that Service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to applicable state and federal law and jurisdiction.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
IDOH may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Changes to recurring membership terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter already-completed purchases, except where required by applicable law.
Continued use or purchase of Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
