IDOH founder Minji Park was invited to speak at Marshwood Adult Education’s graduation ceremony, sharing her journey as an immigrant, educator, and language learner.
A full-circle moment: from learning a new language to helping others find their voice.
When Minji Park first moved to the United States from Korea, she experienced firsthand what it feels like to rebuild confidence in a new language and culture.
Years later, she was invited as a guest speaker at Marshwood Adult Education’s graduation ceremony, returning not only as a former English learner, but as an educator helping others begin their own language journeys.
During her speech, Minji shared her story of moving across the world, overcoming language barriers, finding community, and discovering how powerful human connection can be when we choose to understand one another.
This experience reflects the heart behind IDOH Korean Language & Culture: language is more than memorizing words and grammar. It is a bridge between people, cultures, and stories.
Today, IDOH continues that mission by helping Korean learners across Greater Boston and New England build confidence, create connections, and experience Korean culture in meaningful ways.
